I am a professional, independent doula--a labor assistant (since 2005) who can help you and your family have an empowering and beautiful birth experience.
I am certified as a birth doula through the Pacific Association for Labor Support, PALS. I am currently serving as a board member for the PALS governing body as the chairwoman for continuing education for doulas, and as the co-editor for the quarterly newsletter, the PALS Papers. I have also been further trained as a postpartum doula to provide a well-rounded postnatal experience with your newbie.
With aspirations in nurse-midwifery and international labor support, I am enthused by birth--whichever way your baby leads you. I am honored to be in a position to contribute to happy and healthy births in my local area as a doula. Doula services include prenatal and postpartum guidance, resource and emotional support as well as the ever-on-call labor and birth assistance to whatever extent your family wishes.
I am happy to now offer belly painting sessions and DVD packages to cherish your birth experience. Ask me more about it!
I offer my birth doula services for $600. A doula's fee is calculated and covers expertise, energy, time and expenses. I work closely with my back-up doula, another Jane--Jane Bush, and we would be happy to set up a time where we could all meet each other.

I am back from India and available for births in 2007.

• Pregnant? I am available for belly painting & adaptations through photography & canvas. Please contact me if you are interested in a pregnancy art session in your home, or at your baby shower.
• Jane's sister, the featured belly model, gave birth to a lovely little girl called Alayla. It truly was a beautiful birth.
